Pa Pa’s Sweet Rasin Ramen

Pa Pa’s Sweet Rasin Ramen

This recipe comes from my uncle, whose trail name is “Pa Pa”.  The last couple years he has been hiking the Appalachian National Scenic Trail in large pieces. This is a recipe that is high in protein, loaded in carbs, and it is also about 300 calories. That should be enough calories to give you the sustaining energy to hike long distances. This recipe can be cooked over your campfire or however you prefer to boil water while camping

Plus he says it tastes good…

  • Ramen Noodles
  • Ramen Flavor Packet
  • Peanut Butter
  • Honey
  • Rasins
  • Almond Pieces

  1. Drop Ramen noodles in cold water
  2. bring to boil (this will save fuel)
  3. When noodles are ready add peanut butter, honey, raisins, and almond peaces
  4. Then add just half of the flavor packet

Question do you drain the noodles before adding other ingredients? Which flavor packet is better chicken or beef.
